Default Where to watch the Flames in Vegas?

Awesome timing on my part.... but going to be in Vegas next week for game 3 and 4.

Anyone other Flames fans going to be there, any recommendations for bars/pubs to watch the games?

Is Blondies in PH Miracle Mile Mall any good?

Sporting House gone too:

Sports book at MGM seemed to have lots of hockey on.

Blondies is decent, was there during the Vancouver Boston cup final and there were a ton of Canadians in there and it was fairly lively.

Any sportsbook will have it or will turn it on. Getting audio may be a little tougher though at a sportsbook.

The Tap at MGM Grand is a pretty good sports bar. Decent food.

Diablo's is neat because it opens up onto the strip, and they will have the game. As will Double Barrell. However, the food at these two places sucks (especially the wings and garlic fries. Just get regular fries). Have an early dinner somewhere else if you go here LOL.

Forgot to add that sound would be ideal... but I doubt I'll be able to swing that.

If you want great atmosphere I'd suggest the sports book at Caesar's Palace. Depending on the sports for the day they usually show hockey on the main TV. If there's basketball that same night, though, you might be out of luck.

A few years ago they were playing SJ vs Vancouver on the primary TV while the Bulls were playing the Heat.

Nobody will likely have it on, you'll have to ask to get it on the sportsbook.

You might have to ask to have it on a specific TV you want, but all the sportsbooks will show hockey. Especially playoff hockey. You won't have to ask.

Specific pubs are a different story though.

It's hard to even find hockey highlights on t.v. Hopefully with the NHL team possibly going there they might get their heads out of the sand and play more games.

All these "where to watch" threads sure makes living in Canada seem pretty cool. Makes you appreciate it more I suppose. We just take it for granted that hockey will be on in any sports bar here.

On Fan 960 this morning a bar in the Venetian was mentioned but I can't recall the name.

I've watched at the Venetian (Lagasse's stadium) and gotten sound when there wasn't a NBA playoff game on! I'm not sure what the playoff schedule is for NBA games but if there isn't a late night west coast team playing then you might be good. Fun to bet there too as can bet on anything going on.

Bet $10k on the game and I am sure the sportsbook will turn on the sound for you

I think any sportsbook would show the game. I recall MGM having a solid one last time I was there

My timing sucks too, I fly out tomorrow night so I'll miss game 1, but at least I'll be there to watch game 2 on Sunday.

For audio at the sport book it really depends on what else is on at the time. When I was in Vegas during the playoffs last year there were a couple times there was playoff hockey on with sound.

But anytime a basketball game is on at the same time you are probably out of luck.

When I was in Vegas a few years back, in mid April, my friends and I came across a cigar bar, called Pheasants Cigars, was a nice lounge, big comfy leather chairs!. The owner was an Albertan, and huge hockey fannattic and had playoff games on all the TV's. Sadly after a quick search it appears they've closed, but it did note they were relocating, but I couldn't find a new location, if you have time it may be worth looking into.

If you call and make a reservation at LaGlasse Stadium at the Venetian you may get sound. I did for Game 5 and the gave us a table on on the patio with couches & our own tv. No cost other than a minimum spend of $25 each... Tap at MGM won't have sound but had great atmosphere for Game 6. Multiple loud "Go Flames Go" chants after all of the goals that really confused the people in the poker room next door.
