I can't imagine how gross that was before the stitches. Glad he is ok.

Ryan Miller (brother) said he wanted to come back and finish that game after getting stitched up - just another example of the true warriors that NHL players are.

Scary moment for Drew. Luckily he avoided injury to his eye. Thanks for the concern. He wanted to play after being stitched up. Warrior

Wow. Amazing that he didn't lose the eye. I'm not going to call him lucky, since it obviously would have been much luckier not to get a skate in the face at all. But his luck came *that* close to being much, much worse.

Here's wishing him a speedy recovery without complications.

Hockey Players are a different breed when it comes to athletes. Insane pain thresholds, so glad he is ok.

Seeing the pic of the stitches, all I could think of was Cristiano Ronaldo. There would be a state inquiry and probably a national week of mourning if that happened to that princess. He'd be out indefinitely. They'd hold a state funeral for him.

Saw the replay last night and cringed. He was very very lucky his eye was uneffected. Glad to hear he's going to be okay.
