Icon55 Sens trade Lehner & Legwand to Buffalo for 21st OA

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Robin Lehner heading to BUF. Sounds like Lehner and Legwand to BUF for 21st pick. Pending trade call. Not official yet.

Glad the Flames didn't pay close to that for him.

Insane price, even with cap dump going with Lehner

Good trade for the sens. Hopefully Calgary stays away from Talbot if that is the asking price for backup goalies.

Surprised that Buffalo took on Legwand and still paid the 21st

Not only is Mr. Murray a whiny asshat, but he is also a fool...

PS Just realized it's Murray and Murray. I meant Tim of course.

Yay a trade! That seems really steep for Lehner but I guess Buffalo has enough draft picks.

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
With Lehner to Buffalo, things heat up on Talbot. Oilers and Sharks still keen. Calgary also revisiting Talbot trade this morning.

nice trade for the sens. Cap dump in legwand, and get likely a nice dman at 21.

Seems like a lot for Buffalo to give up but they are stacked in prospects and they were desperate for a decent goalie.

Really really REALLY hope Treliving isn't considering a similar deal for Talbot.

Lehner's age and stage of development makes him a great fit for the rebuilding Sabers. Interested to see what direction his development goes with more pressure/spotlight.

Wow...that's a lot for Lehner. I would have guessed that would have easily been the best offer for Talbot, but maybe not now. Unless they actually wanted Lehner more??

Does this mean Buffalo is done tanking? Was getting sick of them trading away any NHL goalie they got their hands on.

Horrible for Buffalo.

That's 7 actual 1st round picks being moved but now the 21st overall has moved twice (Islanders - Buffalo - Ottawa) meaning 8 1st round picks have been swapped.

So much for all that 1st rounders are gold talk. GM's are as crazy as ever.
