Yeah, I was annoyed with his play of recent times, but he is a great dude, and was a great player on and off the ice for the Flames for years. All the best to Glencross and his family.

First of all thanks to Kevin Lowe for being Kevin Lowe and letting Glencross slip through his fingers into Darryl Sutter's lap. Most of all thanks to Glencross for being a great bridge player for this organization. I hope he has a productive playoff run with the Capitals and gets the July payday he seeks.

GlenX will leave us with some good memories. The most recent ones will allow us to bicker but he is a great guy, mentor and community member. Overalll, I was excited when he signed for less money a few seasons ago! Sad to see him leave but the return is amazing. Thanks ScoreFace 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Being quite vocal of his play as of late myself, and the need for us to move him this year I will miss who he was years ago.
He's a big reason we are who we are today, but it was time to part ways. Jacked Scoreface was with us the years he was here.

One of my favorite flames of the last 10 years. Love that he rode as an outrider.
Hope he gets to ride shotgun for Ovechkin. Really hope he hits a home run in the offseason UFA signings ... or hope even more he re-signs with us!

Thanks for your contributions Curtis. You were one of the few bright spots on this team going back 2-5 years ago.
May the hockey gods place you on a line with Backstrom and Ovie and you can have a good end to the season and a deep playoff run.

Bouma's comments about GlenX being a mentor says a lot about him. As much as he frustrated me at times, when he was good, he was good. Took a hometown discount when the team had no future (even if it was for family, etc) and never seemed to complain till the end.
Hope to still see him as an Outrider at this year's Stampede.

But what you're forgetting is that allowed the Oilers to sign Hossa, which has worked extraordinarily for them.
Glencross has been great in the community, and a good value player for the Flames, I'll be cheering for him in the playoffs for sure.

It's amazing how quickly the time seems to have gone by, yet how long ago it actually was. Aside from a few games by Giordano before spending a year in Russia, Glencross was the only member of the team to have played a playoff game in a Flames sweater.
Good luck in Washington! I hope you have a long run in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
