says he is hearing Bryan Allen's name is linked to the Flames
would be an extra D-man in light of the Giordano injury

Talk about being desperate. From what I've seen of Allen this year he would not be an upgrade on any flames roster defencemen.

Jesus Christ. Give me a ****ing break Calgary management. This is the guy who Gaudreau checked and took off the puck in a game against the Ducks earlier in the season. He was put on waivers the next day.

I have no doubt in my mind that Wotherspoon will be able to beat out Allen for playing time. If Allen does come to Calgary he's going to be in the pressbox , unless far more D injuries occur.

If this is in any way a response to the potential Gio injury, well as a fan just let me say......let's not make the Gio injury any worse than it already is.
I'd rather have an 8th round pick.

Wait, the rumour is the Flames are linked to Allen. Maybe someone made a comment along the lines of: "Geez, with Gio injured I hope we only play against whatever team Bryan Allen is on"

I heard him say both.
He said he is hearing Bryan Allen's name in relation to the Flames and that he could see them doing it.

Judging from Sekera it looks like 3-4 Dmen (with UFA status) are going for our first rounder + Wotherspoon. What are you willing to give up for a "real" Dman?

Big NHL vet that should be near free to acquire and UFA at the end of the year. Not any real risk associated with him. I wouldn't have an issue with the Flames acquiring him.
