Are there any liquor stores open on Christmas in Calgary

It's a long shot, but I thought I'd ask. It's not a huge deal if not, but I figured I'd ask.

No, any AGLC licensed store must be closed on Christmas Day. It's part of the licensing agreement and being open could result in the loss of the license.

18. What are the permitted hours of operation for a retail liquor store?
A retail liquor store may operate WITHIN the MAXIMUM hours of 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. each day. Stores must remain closed on Christmas Day.

Went through this a couple years ago when I forgot to pick up the wine for dinner and thought I could pop into a store on the way there because it must be open.

It's not a big deal. Just the coffee drink I was wanting to make will have to be delayed. Had everything else covered except the one thing.

Could be different laws in BC. AGLC only governs in Alberta.

Some are some are not.

The one on hillside would be closed but I think the one on foulbay next to the Safeway is open for a few hours. I know that Harris Green liquor store is open.
