Default Marek vs Wyshynski Podcast listeners?

Anyone else thing the podcast has to complete trash? It may have always had an edge of comedy to it in the past but it's practically unlistenable without Jeff Marek on the show. Greg Wyshynski basically laughs at his own jokes the entire show with Dave Lozo and his ego has gotten pretty ridiculous since the whole John Scott deal.

Any alternative hockey podcasts you guys listen to?

I'd say the Jay & Dan podcast, but it too has undergone a complete nosedive the past few months.

Combination of leaning way too heavily on guests lately when the show is at its best when the two just jib jab, and Jay becoming a new dad. His energy helps carry the show, plus he always wanted to go booze and hit the rippers. He's kind of a sleaze, which was entertaining. Now he's just as tired and straightmanish as Dan.

Yeah, I used to listen to MvsW but I stopped about a year ago... I listen to the Steve Dangle podcast, but you can't expect to learn anything. They're just three guys whose personalities I happen to find funny.

The best hockey podcast out there is the Hockey PDOCast with Dmitri Filipovic and Travis Yost, wherein you actually find out useful information about the state of the league and individual teams they address in a given episode... but of course, I would say that.

Steve Dangle Podcast is my favourite, even though it's way too leafy

I've been a pretty big MVSW fan for a few years now, but I totally agree. I can't listen to the Dave Lozo editions of the podcast, they drive me nuts. Lozo is slightly wittier than Wysh, but you don't learn a goddamn thing about what's going on in the NHL. Huge waste of time.

I wish Simmons did even a monthly hockey pod. I know he secretly hates hockey because his kids are both hockey fans (and he wishes they were basketball fans) but he goes to a pile of Kings games and whenever Al Michaels is on they get into some good hockey talk.

I'll have to check out this PDOCast.
