Default Under-Grad Advice

I need some advice regarding post-secondary education. I'm currently working in accounting (AP, AR, JV, etc.) in an oil & gas company. I don't have any post-secondary education, and I've been looking into the CPA designation, as I work with a few people who are currently in the program and are able to do it while working full time. I understand that without education, I'm not going to advance in my career at all, or it will be very difficult to do so. The problem is, I need an under-grad degree to be able to get into the program. Obviously as I work full time, this is going to be tough to accomplish. Does anyone have any tips or ideas regarding resources I could look into for more information? It doesn't have to be at all related to finance or accounting, just has to be an undergrad-degree. Are there degrees that could be done entirely online? I haven't had much luck in looking on any websites for UofC or SAIT.

Alternatively, are there any other accounting programs that anyone would recommend? My career goals are to get more on the finance side of business rather than the day-to-day payables & receivables.

Any tips or advice would be hugely appreciated.

With the 3 designations finally completing the merger the CPA program is now it (although I think the CA program runs until 2016 but you need a university degree for it so that's out), you have no other options to become a designated accountant in Canada. Education isn't particularly relevant to anything other than getting into the program. Once you get designated it won't matter what your education is, those 3 letters are all that matters

For programs I did the diploma (Business Admin program) and degree program (BADM) at SAIT and it was great, SAIT has good flexibility with night classes and even day classes (i.e some classes have 3-5 schedules so you can work till say 2:30 and then go to school). SAIT has an accelerated program that is recognized by the CPA that can be done online.

I'm not overly familiar with the new CPA program, but I thought one of the big selling points for this new program was the bridging program it provided. I was under the impression you might not even need a post-secondary degree in order to get into the bridging program, but again not sure.
