I am spoiled to be able to experience the snowbirds many times a year here in Moose Jaw! Go see them! The Hornet is cool but being able to witness such precision flying in formation is amazing!! Definitely worth you time!

No online ticket sales. Huh?

Also: is this the only one in southern Alberta this year?

You can call 403-603-3101 or email tourism@highriver.ca to purchase tickets.

Lethbridge usually has one every year but they are taking this year off.

Judging by the large crowds I would think the airshow was a huge success. Especially since this was all planned 2 months ago.

Took a few pictures. Please excuse the quality as I was using my crappy point and shoot.

The show started off with the Skyhawks - The Canadian Armed ForcesParachute team....

It's too bad the F-18 and the Snowbirds weren't carrying enough fuel to finish their shows, but overall a pretty good event.

I was at Golden Acres (McKnight and Deerfoot) last night picking up a few things with the family and I noticed that the planes were taking off heading south over McCall Lake so I decided to head over to the viewing area for a few minutes and let me kid watch a few planes fly overhead.

We saw a couple Westjet flights take off and a small Canadair RJ. To my surprise a CF-18 came rolling down the runaway and hit the skies overhead while we were there. It was pretty cool to see and hear. I assumed he must have been heading for High River. This was shortly after 7pm.

Apparently the Snowbirds will do a flyby over YYC today to celebrate the RCAF's 90th anniversary. Around 1330.
