AO flipped (because he's a goof who I hate) to Pitt for Eric Staal+Max Domi+ 31 + 47 +53 + 66 + 120 + 143 + 150

Rationale:
- Felt it was time to move on from having Malkin and Crosby together and change the chemistry of the team. I think Staal will bring more veteran experience that the sim likes. In addition, I'm hoping he's a more complimentary player to Syd. I add Eller who is a solid 3rd liner and the 13th pick which I feel good about getting a good player. Having 12+13 allows me to consider some things I wouldn't have if I just had 12 and allows me to be a little more bold at the draft. In addition I add a bunch of picks including the first of the 2nd round - in addition to a solid prospect in Domi.

So it works out to be

At one point I had both, and Crosby, the sim hated it

The Pens still really like Ovie. I've always had a soft spot for him and that was reignited with his 51 goals last season. The Caps are a mess and with Trotz coming in I can only see Ovie getting better.

I had planned on shipping out all my picks, but didnt really want to move them for cap. I figured that this was my best route. It hurt moving Domi as I like the kid a lot, but Staal was the odd man out so to give up Domi and the three 2nds with Staal to bring in a dynamic player like AO I thought it was worth it to this team.

Now to see how bad the sim hates AO and Stammer together.

Yup - and we missed the playoffs.
So that didn't work.
It was fun to acquire them all though - something I wanted to do just to do it - but it was ineffective.

True story. It took me until sometime this season to realise that their logo is both a cat, of some sort, and the state.
