Selling because it doesn't meet my needs.

I don't believe it can be rooted regardless of the serial number because it has been connected to the internet and the update probably killed the possibility of rooting until the new method comes out.

Hey, what limitations did you come across? I'm interested in yours, but don't want to have to sell it if it doesn't fit my needs. thanks

I had assumed that it would do screen mirroring for Android. I guess I should have done my research, but it seemed to be a simple enough feature and the app I am trying to cast will not get Chromecast support anytime soon.

There are some articles online saying that there is a way to mirror the Nexus 5 screen. It's just not what I need. So, I guess the bottom line is that Chromecast doesn't offer anything that I can't do with my AppleTV and smart TV.
