Flames scouts are on Long Island for Pens and Isles. Trade in the works?

It is unbelieveable but the BJs are going to win their eighth consecutive game as they lead the Flyers 5-2 with nine minutes left in the third period!

The Blues are hanging on with a 2-1 lead on the Rangers, same deal with the Hurricanes as they are up 4-3 on the Sabres.

After two periods, it is a 2-2 tie in the Senators-Lightning game. No points for St. Louis but Hedman has two assists including one on a shorthanded goal.

The Penguins have a 4-2 lead on the Islanders after forty minutes.

The Stars have a 3-1 against the stinkin' Leafs in the second period. Go Stars and stop the Toronto winning streak.

The Wild have a 2-0 lead over Chicago in the second period.

This Leafs/Stars game is great fun...6-1 now. Will they pull Reimer too?

Leafs are not looking good tonight. Bernier gets yanked after letting in 3 in 26 minutes. Reimer has let in 3 in about 10.

Go Stars go and burn those Leafs, make it 10-1. It is time to get the Leafs off national TV.

Olli Maatta with another great night for the Pens. I wonder what his chances are taking the Calder at this rate.

I'd say slim to none.

With all the injuries to the Pens defensive core Maatta probably has played more recently then any other rookie, that has to help his Calder status.

Well, there are 19 rookie d-men that play more per game than Maata, and 5 of them have more points.....and that doesn't include Krug who has 25 points and is likely the front runner among rookie d-men for the Calder.

....and then you look at the forwards that are rookies.....

Sure Maata is playing good, but I doubt he gets a sniff at the Calder.

IMO only injury is going to stop MacKinnon from taking the Calder at this point.

Kadri starts punching with his gloves on after hacking Roussel down like a lumberjack.

Tonight will answer the question everyone is asking: Who's the better Weber, Yannick or Shea?

After tonight Maatta is second in defensive scoring (only behind Krug), and second in +/- to Lindholm. He'll definitely be in the conversation if he keeps this pace up.

Kadri is such a punk. Not only did he pouch him with his gloves on, he did it while the ref was holding Roussel.
Rough night for Toronto goalies:

NO. PLAYER SAVES - SHOTS SV% PIM TOI
34 J. Reimer 11 - 15 .733 0 30:51
45 J. Bernier 10 - 13 .769 0 26:35
