I Didn't Buy My Wife Anything & Have a Quick Question
I was wondering if the sales on boxing day for electronics, specifically iPad Air is worth while.
Also, does anyone know when the on line boxing day sale begin for such items.

I can't see the Air being more than $50 off; more likely $20-30 off.
Is that worth not having her gift under the tree?

You should probably just buy a more comfortable couch.

Ok continuing on with this.
Of the three 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, which on is the better option. She is not a gamer or huge App person. It will be for surfing, facetime, facebook and music.

I bought my wife an ipad 32gb a few years ago and it has been her most favorite gift.
She uses it all the time @ home
32gb gives option to load a few movies and store photos too.
I just went WIFI because I need another data plan like another hole in the head.
Introduce her to candy crush if you want time away from her lol.
Go pick it up now she will be very happy on Christmas morning.

I just grabbed a 64GB ipad Air for the wife. Got to the Apple store at 9:20 (opens at 9:30) and it was already lined up. They have 2 cashiers that are strictly ringing in items that people know (exactly) what they want, or you can walk up to a random employee in a red shirt and have them do it for you.
My wife has been pining for one of these stupid things for months, so coupled with my hate for all things Apple, lines and crowds, this better translate into mucho beej.

I have always bought 32 GB iDevices. Seems to be the sweet spot for capacity. 16GB I tend to fill it up, and that is mainly music. Also if she has an iPhone or other tether-able phone, don't buy a 3G/4G version. Just use your existing data plan.

Coach is your answer. I was in and out in 10 minutes- that is if you can resist the urge to blow your brains out dealing with Chinook parking lot and walking through mall.
Although I bought my wife an iPad a couple years back and it is still the most used gift I ever gave her.
My wife bought me a PS4- she just doesn't know it yet.

Ok so one last opinion.
Is the difference between the Air and the ipad 2 significantly different/noticable.
Before you answer, my wife and I still have the "I can't see the difference between SD and HD.

I think iPad 2 will be redundant soon. I have an Air, and the GF has an iPad2, and the speed difference is huge. For example, now my iPad 1 is virtually unusable now, it is so slow. I just use it as a bluetooth music player/Apple TV remote now. The difference will be probably 2-3 years of usefulness of the device, which will be well worth the 200 swing in price. Also, the retina display on the air is amazing.

I doubt she will notice the display, I will.
The speed, she will notice.
Damn it, looks like I am buying the Air.
I assume there is not much difference in price. Besy Buy, Future Shop, Target, Walmart.

Just a heads up, but some stores (Future Shop for example) will give you 30 days to cash in if the product you buy before Christmas ends up going on sale on boxing day or after Christmas (they said they will even match other stores sale prices).
My wife and I bought a tablet yesterday. We were going to wait for a boxing day sale, but the sales person told us we could buy without worry because of that offer.

This is a useful bit of news. I asked the sales person at Best Buy about this, and he said not a chance.
Thanks

Yeah, I would confirm just in case it is only store specific.
