Geez, just noticed that the Flames are only 6 points behind the Leafs with 2 games in hand.

Dallas sure has a nice little nucleus of young forwards to build around don't they?

Their top 5 scorers are aged 21, 24, 23, 22 and 18.....and they are all 6'0 to 6'4" as well.

Crazy to think if Calgary were in the East, they would only be 6 points out of a playoff spot with 2 games in hand.

If they could hold a third period lead, they'd be in the playoff hunt in the West.

Unfortunately that will never happen....I am ok with it. In a couple seasons we will compete in the West and dominate the East.

The Penguins looked good in their 3-1 victory over the Leafs. Fleury played well in net as he stopped 26 shots. Crosby with a goal and Sutter gets a SHG empty net goal. The Jets get a win amidst their slump, 3-2 in reg time over the BJs. Evander Kane had 2 points and it looks like Al Montoya could be the Jets #1 goalie for now. The Senators won 3-2 in OT over the Blues. What a story book ending for Cody Ceci, the Sens rookie who is from Ottawa scoring the GWG. Chris Stewart scores both the Blues goals and Derek Roy assisted on both of them. Bobby Ryan gets 2 points. It was shoot out the lights in the Stars-Avs game. The Avs won the game 6-2 but it would have been worse as Lehtonen played great in the loss. The shots on goal were 48-33 in favour of the Avs and it was 21-10 after the 1st period! Stastny breaks his slump with a 4 point night as the Avs scored 4 goals in the 2nd period.
