Default December 13, just three games.

It is Friday the 13th, a quiet night in the league with a HNIC special.
Goalie masks anyone?

It is 2-0 Penguins already and they scored 41 seconds into the game. Schneider is in net for the Devils.

I guess many here will feel dirty wanting either team to win.

When was the last time the Flames played a non-Saturday night game on HNIC (excluding season openers and playoffs)?

Why is CBC broadcasting on a Friday?

Still blows my mind that after 4 years, three 1st overall picks and payroll right up against the cap, that this is the best team Oilers management could put together.

If I were an Oiler fan I would be livid.

Shockingly, building an actual hockey team the way you would in NHL 14 doesn't work. Who'd have thought?

2-0 Canucks.

I see Justin Schultz hasn't improved his defensive game at all lately.

3-0 Canucks

But hey........at least the Oilers played well in another loss against Boston last night. That's something.

Oiler games aren't as much fun to watch when they're road games on CBC.

There's something special about the combination of Kevin Quinn's "my dog just died" play-by-play, the PA announcer's "my dog just died" goal calls, and Dallas Eakins's "please kill me" expression when the other team scores in Oiler home games on Sportsnet.

Plus you get Hughson's encyclopedic Canucks knowledge while knowing only basic knowledge of the opponent.

I'm going to say this. If I was going to be selected first overall, and the Oilers picked me, I would pull a Lindros, and refuse to report to the team. Who wants to play for such a dysfunctional organization.
