Default Closet help

No, I'm not stuck in one with Tom Cruise and John Travolta.

Our closet hanging bar recently fell down. This was a few months after the closet doors broke. At some point in the next few months we're going to recarpet the floor, so I'm not buying/installing new doors just yet. But we've run out of closet hanging space in the meantime. I'd just stick up a new pole and be done with it however, our closet (not main one) has an angled back wall. Tough to explain

Basically there's no ceiling in this closet, or a tiny amount.

It's 7' in height, with about 8" depth at the 7' point. At about 6' it's 20" deep and at the floor it's about 4" in depth. I'll try to draw an example using paint. We used to hang clothes (mostly pants because at 20" depth at hanger height it wasn't great for jackets/shirts) and behind the clothes at floor level you could store boxes and stuff behind. But that seemed terribly inefficient as you could never see what was behind the clothes or have to go wading through the hanging clothes to see what was back there.

It would be nice to have some ideas, but in reality I think it's going to just be a bar again and a whole bunch of dead space. It's pretty small too, probably only 5" wide +/- with a 4'6" door opening where the sliding doors used to be.

Red line would be the hanging bar, it's about 5' wide, but the opening to the closet / space is about 4'5". As you can see a lot of floor space, which is pretty much dead if you hang clothes. But, I think that's going to be the only real option without a lot of work.

Thanks

Congrats on deciding to come out of the closet.....I won't think any more or less of you......

Anyways, why not pick up some of those wire mesh shelves at Home Depot, Rona, lowes and go from there. These shelves are available in various depths.
