I don't think you can watch the '01 Ray Bourque cup celebration without getting goosebumps

The Red Wings cup with Konstantinov brings me to tears every time.

My wife just came in after doing her nails, "Why are you crying?"

"BECAUSE VLADY JUST GOT PRESENTED THE CUP IN A WHEELCHAIR *blubbering*"

Gets me Every.Single.Time.

Makes me hate Raymond even more that piece of garbage can suck it. Guys on that team went to war to get him a cup and then he calls Tampa to give them words of inspiration, while the opponent has yelle and reinprecht.

That Brind'Amour one was hilarious. I watched that final with a bunch of Oiler fans and the TV was probably off by then. Too funny.

I pretty much don't watch the ceremonies for any sports. I find them mostly boring and pretentious. The game is over, the race is over, change the channel.

I was too busy celebrating at a bar in Vancouver when the Canucks lost I didn't see any of that ceremony. Probably couldn't hear all of it over the fans cries

Worst fans in the NHL

Agreed. I think that watching a team win is glorious. That watching the race be won is fun. When it's not your team, the celebration is voyeuristic.

You can say this team is going to win or this team is going to win. You can have a bet which makes it more exciting. However, I don't think there is the replacement of a celebration when your team actually wins!

Someone posted this on Twitter, it got a laugh out of me:

"I love how much they boo Bettman whenever he opens his stupid, useless, lockout enabling mouth."

Bettman just seems awkward when presenting the Stanley Cup, lol.

Think you can add this one tomight to the list as well as Jim Hughson couldn't help but talk through the beginning of Betmans speech.

Bettman doesn't deserve the treatment he gets during presentations. People are just sheep and boo mindlessly.

Completely agree. If you asked most of the person in the building why they are booing they wouldn't be able to give you reasonable response. Bettina gets way too much credit when things go wrong with the league nod not enough credit when things go right. He has done a great job growing the game and saving the Canadian franchises when all but two could have folded. He deserves the reect of the fans not what we saw and heard last night.

"Bettman greets Brown by grabbing him by the arm, probably to prevent him from reacting to the contact by instinctively diving."

I think every commissioner is booed in every sport at the championship hand off ceremony.

Pick a sports commissioner name, google it with "booed" attached and you're off to the races.

Is there actually a sports league commissioner who is popular?

If you're a commissioner, don't expect to be loved. NHL has 30 teams, 30 different fanbases, he can't please all of them at the same time, of course you are hated. Still he's doing a good job, even though he's awkward.

This is an early-NWO era level of heat. Remember, many of these fans left the building and immediately rioted. They are not happy.
