Out of active combat and into training.
The job that Canada's military did has to be commended. From a force that was ill equipt and ill trained for the mission, to a mission force that gained universal respect for their results and their programs where they actively lived in the villages, they did a great job.
We had a number of casualties that we mourned for, but our training and dedication kept those casualties to a lower number then they could have been against a tough, ruthless foe.
Whether Afghanistan finally figures it out or slides back into government by what I consider to be a fairly evil regime will be for the history books.
But I'm proud of the job that they did there.
