Default Realistic expectations for Sven next season

Some non-draft discussion. Sven should be getting a lot of ice time next year so he'll be for sure scoring more points. Ended off the year with a 7 game point streak (longest among rookies). What are some realistic expectations for him next year? I say he should score around 35-40 points next year. I'm pretty sure that's realistic enough. He's going to have some growing pains but it will be fun to watch him progress. What are your expectations for him next year?

I agree, 35 to 40 points.

15 goals, 20 assists would be a good target. Anything more than that should be considered gravy. Anything greater than that likely sets expectations the kid may not meet and become a whipping boy for the usual bunch around here that need someone to gripe about.

I THINK he may end up with 50-60 points given the added ice time and larger roll. At the same time, if he ends up with 40 points I'll be fine with it as he is still young and learning.

Still eligible for the Calder, but playing on this team, not going to happen.

33 goals and 25 assists. Break out year with all the ice time he is going to get.

I think Sven's floor is that of Jiri Hudler. A guy that can get 55-60 points and is a quality secondary player. Next season, we'll see if he is trending more to the Hudler level or that of a player like Marian Hossa (Sven's upside)

Assuming Cammi goes...and with Tanguay already gone...which player leads the Flames in scoring this upcoming season? ... And what are the chances it's Sven?

Huberdeau won it this year playing on the worst team in the league.

Considering that Sven will get top line minutes and PP time...

25 goals 30 assists 55 points should be awesome...

Although I think he will get more along the lines of like....

45 points....which is still good.

I really think he will be in the running for the Calder. But Mackinnen will probably win

He was operating at a .500 PPG click this season.

He's already starting to look like a streaky offensive guy. Kind of like a Stempniak, but with a higher ceiling.

I see 45-50 points out of him, extrapolating from this season with more experience factored in. He's more of a playmaker to this point, so i'll say somewhere in the ballpark of 15+g, 30a if he play upwards of 75 games.

Yeah, I'm thinking the 35-40 mark would be satisfactory IMO. He'll be getting a ginormous amount of playing time, unlike like this year.
