Phoenix looks like it has lost its way this series. Hopefully we can avoid the embarrassment of a sweep.

Another 3rd period blown lead has cost us bigtime.

Kings are on a roll, getting scoring from all 4 lines so far.

Every forward except Umberger has 2 or more points, with Versteeg leading the way with 4G and 1A.

Sabres make it more interesting as they win their first on home ice. a few lineup changes in this one, Konopka gets into his first game and centres the 3rd line- his linemates Bailey and Gagner combine on the 1st goal. the new 4th line- Lombardi, Stajan and Dorsett had a tough night though, so possibly Colby Armstrong will draw back in there

The powerplay saved this one late in the game for Buffalo:

4. Buffalo Sabres , Thomas Vanek 2 (Alexander Steen, Jordan Leopold) at 15:54 (PP)
5. Buffalo Sabres , Thomas Vanek 3 (Jason Pominville, Alexander Steen) at 17:32 (PP)

Despite Vanek's heroics, Rick Nash was named the first star

Wow...14 PPs for the Flyers to ZERO for us..we still outshot them by a big margin but obviously you are not going to win a game when you are short handed for 28mins...

Time for some changes for game 4. Hopefully the refs stay out of this one.

Ducks pick up a key in in game 3 of the series. Quick had a great game and Leddy managed to score the GWG. Our most recent acquisition abdelkader added the insurance marker. Now time to focus on game 4 and picking up the toughest win of them all, the 4th one.

close game, surprised it was this close as I managed to get 9 penalties, and only 1 powerplay. not good enough.

Hope for a game 4 rebound to take the 3-1 lead in the series

Two of the better rosters on paper down 3-0. Wonder if anyone battles back.

Choke..6 mins from having a strangle hold on the series and we give up 2 powerplay goals. Even though we made improvements to the PK, we continue to fail. Wonder how much Mitchell would have made a difference. He will be back after missing game 2 & 3.
