Small Moves

So I'm clearing out a property on a short timeline - unfortunately the ole' call a friend with a truck and give him beer thing isn't going to work due to timing and availability.

Amount isn't much - 2 dressers, a big wardrobe and a pile of boxes but it's coming out of a townhouse so many stairs are involved.

Too small for most moving companies so I think I'm left with Kijiji type - 2 dudes and a truck outfits.

Anyone have any good dealings with anyone in this small moves space?

Just beware with those "we got a truck and two dudes and can be there in half hour" guys on kijiji. If you care about your furniture or your walls, there's usually a reason these types of guys are looking for small jobs and can be there in a flash.

Known him for a long time, good guy who runs around in his truck and does small jobs. He has about 20 years experience.

For these types of jobs I usually just rent a truck or moving van from hertz and do it myself. That might be a viable option for you if you can find a friend to help you.

Uhaul rents half tons for pretty cheap too.

How many Boxes? i.e. how many loads would this take with a truck, or would it need a trailer as well?
What is the time frame?
How far is the move?
