He got concussed in his last fight and I think that's been an issue for him (for while, not just since that fight). He can no longer (or choses not to) be the Ben Eager he was brought in to be. Mike Brown has made him expendable and now that Hartikainen is back there's no room for him.

I imagine Brown makes Eager redundant.

I wasn't aware that he was something special, unless tipping the scales at 240lbs is special.

I'm sure Eager makes Eager redundant all on his own

Is that assault case still hanging over him?

Before the two concussions, he didn't shy away from fights. He is a fast skater beating out Hall in skills comp., heck of a wrist shot (one of the tops on the team), still hits (but not as hard and as often), great size and a very good skater (first round pick).

Now with Mike Brown as an Oiler who can fight, plays in-your-face, hits, plays the penalty kill and a fast skater, there was no room on the fouth line for Eager. Too bad, I like Eager as their teammate.

If we pick him up, maybe he could bring us that special something the Flames lack.

Maybe Rangers to fill the Prust and Rupp void?

The one good thing about being at "max contracts" is i don't have to worry that the flames will pick up a scrub like Eager.

Pretty much a bust in Edmonton. It's apparent there's a reason he hasn't stuck anywhere as a first rounder - concussions or not.

Is Oklahoma City not deemed 'special' anymore?

If Mike Brown makes you expendable, you're pretty F'in useless.
