I know it's going to be one big Rider circle jerk but I'm not sure I want to relive that moment over and over.

The fans next to me jumping up and down. Andy Fantuz celebrating. I saw the flag and knew it was against the Riders. I think I was in section m or n. on the side of the end zone the kick was into. I'd only decided to go about 90 mins prior to kickoff. Brought $120 cash and got a single. That's half FV btw. I was at my car and could hear the trophy presentation. Ugh.

I think that was rather underwhelming. Hopefully the other 7 documentaries are better than the one tonight.

During the Riders game this afternoon they said that Rider fans would enjoy it. I would say the first 15 minutes would be good for Rider fans; the rest I kept expecting Nelson to pop up saying "Ha-ha!"

The thing is, that was probably the only one that would draw any actual viewers.

Yeah they focused a little too much on that particular game. They literally didn't mention 89 or 07 the entire broadcast. A lof of people forget that although 09 sucked, the Riders were only 1 season removed from winning a championship (well 2 if you count 09) and the loss wasn't seen as being the end of the world because the Riders had a very strong team that people thought would compete for a long time. The Riders do have a long history of heartache but 09 wasn't even the worst of it. And yeah, who wants to watch an hour long reminder of that moment anyway? It was nice as a backdrop or a jumping off point but shouldn't have been the entire focus.

Also wasn't a huge fan of all the choices for fan interviews. Who the hell was the redheaded guy that they interviewed? I got the distinct feeling he didn't know jack about football.

Loved the ending with Paul McCallum (who wasn't even on the 09 team as he'd left by then) dissing the Als.

It was also nice to see Duvall not keep up the ridiculous charade that he only missed because the flags distracted him. I know he tried to say that for a while after the game but everyone knew he'd legitimately missed.

They were obviously done very much in the mold of 30 for 30 and overall I thought the production was quite good.

I watched the one Anthony Calvillo called The Kid from La Puente. No other way to say it but I have more respect for the man after watching that documentary, he had all the odds stacked against him in the area he grew up in, things that were going in his life at the time too. Strange that they jumped straight to his Hamilton Tiger-Cats days and didn't start with his first team Las Vegas Posse. I mean after all his first win as a pro came as a member of the Las Vegas Poose.
