Jackets Trade with Rival Preds
In a deal that took a couple of days, the Jackets sent dman Robyn Regehr to the Preds on Friday morning. Regehr has been the center of trade talks lately and it was only a matter of time before he was traded. However with the move, the Jackets will now need to find a 3-4 dman, probably via UFA.

The key to trading Regehr was to add some depth but more importantly to dump his salary and save cash at the same time. We overpayed for him last year when we made a deal to acquire him from the Hurricanes but Regehr played very well in the playoffs so we don't regret the trade at all. However, looking forward to this year, Regehr wasn't in our plans and we really hope that he sucks in Nashville for the stupid Preds.
