Default Recommend software to find duplicate files

I'm looking to clean up my computer. When I got my last hard drive it had so much space that I was quite lax with randomly copying files to multi locations....Now this is bugging me and waisting space.

Anyone recommend a good program for locating the duplicates?

Haven't tried it but it looks ok. I would back up your treasures first though.

Ran into the same issue myself. My solution was to buy a backup hard drive, copy everything over to it and blow away most of the non-critical files on my main computer.

When I need something, I go look on the backup disk. Otherwise, it's clear I didn't need those files in the first place.

Clone Terminator. I've used it many times. The demo version is free, but you have to delete the files manually yourself. The pay version lets you select and delete them.

It's simple, relatively quick, and works.

My wife is a photographer and has a tendency to copy files all over the place instead of moving them... I am definitely going to try this out!
