An autopsy on Terri Schiavo backed her husband's contention that she was in a persistent vegetative state, finding that she had massive and irreversible brain damage and was blind, the medical examiner's office said Wednesday. It also found no evidence that she was strangled or otherwise abused

My guess is this will get a hell of alot less press then it would have if the opposite results were found.

It sucks that bad news is always a bigger headline grabber. How many apologies is her husband going to get?

How obvious was it to all but the most blindly (literally) devout?

Makes me so angry sometimes... yeish....

Even if you assume they (religous types) were correct and she could retain some sort of consciousness, she would still be a shell of a human being. Of course i suppose that would just be 'gods will' or something.

Interesting that so many years after her collapse it shows this may have not been a result of an eating disorder.

I feel sorry for her, her family and her husband. The last thing I'd want it to be the center of a freaking circus while I'm dying or while my relative is dying. Could you imagine having to make that hard of a choice? And then having people saying your going to hell for it? I think after a decade the husband did his duty. Hopefully everyone can just lave these people alone now.
