Default Head Injury

Hey guys, hopefully someone can figure this out for me.

A little over a year ago I got 2 concussions within a 3 week span playing hockey. Being in first year university all year and working in retail over the summer I didn't have too much physical activity. During that time I would help with some chores around the house and one thing I noticed was that if I was shovelling or sweeping and I bent my head over so I could see what I was doing, the same kind of pain I had during my concussion would come back for about 10 minutes after I steadied my head back up. Anyways this summer I took a job doing lots of physical labour and it turns out to be mostly consisting of shovelling and sweeping and the pain keeps coming back. Is it possible that this pain is related to my concussion? It isn't the same pain as the dehydration headaches I have had throughout my life so that rules that out.

Thanks in advance

USA he would be seen right now and get a bill in 2 months that will cause him to file bankruptcy... Canada he will try to get an appointment and wait for 6 weeks to see a specialist.
Im just joking.. My advice is go see a doctor.

Sounds like a neck problem, like Crosby. You should see his specialist asap.

The internet is where you go for bad legal advice and moronic, pointless arguments.

It is not the right place to solicit medical opinions.

To the physicians with you.

Honestly as dumb as this sounds, a lot of people who are experiencing post-concussion syndrome, are really just experiencing cervicogenic headaches. The muscles/ligaments that attach to the back of the skull can flare/tense up and cause headaches during certain ranges of motion.

If the symptoms come on when you bend your neck in certain directions and don't include dizziness there's a chance it could just be your neck.

As REDVAN stated, go to your GP, get a referral to a specialist. If it is just the neck, they should be able to tell you pretty quickly. Then again, Crosby went undiagnosed for many months, despite suppossedly having some of the best doctors in the world.

Can't hurt to find out if people have experienced similar things before getting to the doctor. Seriously, when you want to know, you want to know. Finding people on the internet who have gone through the same is often quicker than seeing a doctor.

Man go see a freaking doctor.

Mark my words, within our lifetime we'll see a news story where some one died while soliciting advice on the internet instead of calling 911. It'll be something like "Man dies in house fire while googling for information about grease fires" or "Family of four murdered by home invader, it's believed the father of the family was on Ask Reddit posting updates about the sound he heard in the hallway"

While it's true the internet can provide a wealth of information on many topics there are still sometimes when real life, human interaction are going to be required.

What level of hockey do you play? If I were in your shoes, and I was just mucking around playing low-level hockey, I'd be done with that crap after the 2nd concussion. Don't mess around with your brain.

Asking here isn't going to help, concussions and next injuries are different each and every time. Every concussion (And I've had lots) are different.

Do not pass go, do not collect $200.00 internet dollars, go see a doctor and get looked at.

awesome, thank you, I actually had a coach that used to say that.....he also used to ask if you are hurt or injured. I once had my head cut open and blood pouring out, I said "Injuried", he but half a tub of skin lube on my head and said "hurt" and sent me back on the field (feel free to comment on a coach lubing up my head)

OP, see a doctor, that is the only answer you need. It's your head, it doesn't heal....
