just a dumb ass question...but why in hells half acre should this obvious arsehole be allowed out in 15 years? This poor woman who had lived to 71 years old through the war(s) and who knows what else, has her life stolen by a alcoholic/junkie?
More than that he "anvils" her face to smithereens?
The poor woman mustve gone through hellish pain before succumbing. This after she had given this bas**rd money on several past occasions?

I think they should strip this SOB down to the buff and put him in a hockey rink sans ice. Then they should give every relative and friend a hockey stick and let the guy loose....make cross checking and slashing legal for an hour or two.

Guys/gals like this literally make me puke...put him in general population and leak the news of his offence.

A very sick individual who should never ever see the light of day. What a horrible way to die!

With the commute time to Airdrie expotentially increasing, there will be crazies coming out of the woodwork all over the place. The town has been busier than I have ever seen it. All the development going in all at once is going to end its quiet bedroom community status for good.

From 15,000 people in 1996 to 22,000 in 2001 to just under 30,000 today.

And wait until the city gets it's proposed south buisness/industrial park going on the south side of Big Hill Springs Road. Land will be cheaper than the proposed Stoney Trail industrial park in Calgary, and will be literally 10 minutes from the Airport on Barlow Trail.

And despite all of this, I am amazed at just how low the violent crime rate is in Airdrie. The two murders recorded last year were the first since Stephen Ford bludgeoned his parents with the axe something like 12 years before.

As for this guy himself, I also find it amazing that such a crime only nets 15 years in prison. 25-Life would have been much more appropriate.

And this goes back to my whole argument before about no second chances for convicts in capital cases like this, just like I don't believe in second chances for haitual offenders. if they go to prison, then get out and commit a crime, its pretty unlikely that they're ever going to be reformed.

There's no responsibility in the justice system, and there's no fear from the habitual or serious criminal.

This guy will probably go to trial next year, get 3 years credit and be out in 6 with the faint hope clause.
