Default Canadian freestyle skier Sarah Burke dies at age 29
Just saw this on the cbc ticker, no link yet. She died of head injuries received during a crash last week.

One of the best talents in the sport. Was almost guaranteed to medal for Canada in Sochi.

What a shame. She was a phenomenal skier, and incredibly nice to her fans. Talked to her at freshtival a number of years ago. She chatted with a lot of people in attendance instead of just signing autographs in the queue.

Huge loss to the ski community. Thoughts go out to her friends and family.

Terrible terrible news. I was really hoping she would make it. She was the greatest female half pipe skier of all time.

She was married to professional skier Rory Bushfield from Balzac.
