Good places to go for gifts for your significant other
I was walking downtown this evening and stopped in a shop by the bay downtown. it's just east of the church across the street from the bay on 7th ave. On the south side of the street where the LRT stop is. It sells pashminas and shawls and some other gift ideas.
Anyhow, they had about 80 or so different colors of pashminas. I bought 4 of them and it worked out to $25 total before tax. Can't go wrong at that price. Would definitely be a good idea for an inexpensive stocking stuffer.
Are there any other shops out there that might be good to go for gifts?

Victoria's Secret and Adult Source
Both great for the stocking stuffing

Spring and fall here in Calgary typically offer up perfect shawl weather. I can't wait until they are in style for men. I could store my shawl in my European carry all........
My wife like the clothes and stuff from a store in chinook that is located right near true religion- I can't remember the name of the place right now but I am sure it is a chain

I bought my wife a bag from Coach, which is the only gift I had to buy this year. One of the biggest perks of being married is she does all the Christmas shopping for family- its typically double what I would spend, but my time at the mall is limited to nearly nothing glory hallelujah!!
Anyways, might also get her some books

If you've got a couple hundred bucks to spend on a rather frivolous item (to us men at least) but that has some wow factor, I recommend getting a scarf from Hermes. It's going to cost you at least $200 bucks, but for some reason, girls go ape over that brand.

Speaking as a woman: pashminas would make a great stocking stuffer.
But if my husband gave me one as a main present: he's not getting laid for a month.
As for the store in Chinook: was it Judith & Charles, Scotch & Soda or Anthropologie(that one is upstairs)?

This thread is not nearly as dirty as I expected it to be.
Calgarypuck, I am disappointed in you.

Sex is contingent on nice presents...check.
What if he gave you like a bunch of cash instead of a pashmina? Would yo sleep with him then?

Let me quote this out of context for you ...
And to contribute to the thread:
I did my SO shopping yesterday at chinook, 3 stores, 3 gifts, 45 minutes.

I really enjoy the detailed directions on where the Bay is located downtown.
As for other stores, go to Holt Renfrew. It's not going to be cheap, but you're pretty much guaranteed to get something that will impress. Besides, most of you make over $100k anyways.

I know the area the OP was talking about. I did some shopping there as well, then I had a sketchy $2 breakfast and followed it up by buying/smoking some crack.

Last year I went to Home Depot for the gf got some knee pads.
Then Solo Liquor Store for some beer and tequila, where I was actually able to get the card too, bonus!
I then stopped by Winners and got her an ab machine.
For some reason I won't have to worry about presents for a significant other this year.
