World's Oldest Dog Dies. 26 years 8 months. Wow!
If i could develop a breed that could live on average 25 years i would make billions!
The world's oldest dog has died in Sakura, Japan, at the age of 26 years, eight months - equivalent to 125 human years - his owner said.Pusuke, certified by Guinness World Records as the world's oldest living dog last year, died Monday at his home, owner Yumiko Shinohara said. Pusuke is believed to have died of old age.
The dog was born at the home of one of Shinohara's relatives in March 1985 and was registered as a pet on April 1 that year.
In 2008, he suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car. A veterinarian told Shinohara it would be difficult to save Pusuke's life, but the dog underwent successful surgery.

I thought a human year was 7 dog years? That would be about 180.

no they corrected the way to measure a dog's life.
The formula is: 10.5 dog years per human year for the first 2 years, then 4 dog years per human year for each year after

Well . . . he'll be dragging his a$$ across god's carpet and chewing Jesus' couch in no time.

Geez, that dog was probably born within days of me. It'd be pretty amazing to have the same family dog for a quarter century!
Oh, and I think a few of you are missing Cecil's sarcasm...

Ya my black lab is about 15.5 now. Would never guess he is older then 8. A little grey in the face, but healthy as ever.

Aw, that story made me smile. The dog looks happy in the picture. And the owners comment that he was grateful the dog lived with him so long - it's heartwarming.

I'm older than the dead dog. Does that make me an old dog?

That story depressed me more with the realization that our dogs are going to live less than 19 and 22 more years.
