These kids are just joshing you skoch. That band of yours is an important part of society no matter what these juvenile minds think. Keep playing. I will wander by on Dominion Day.
The time I spent with the Salvation Army doing an analysis of their Thrift Stores was a truly wonderful time. Great people.Great focus.
As an intregal part of the BlueBag It program it amazed me that we collected some 25000 bags of clothing in one week. I think it was my blue blazer, personally.
But I was in tears time and time again when people approached me with there stories of being "rescued or saved" from utter devastation by the S.A.
One story kept grabbing me though.
A veteran in the foxholes or trenches being rained upon by bullets and moisture, his boots stuck in the mud ,hasn't seen anybody but the whites of there eyes and his buds for days and somebody taps him on the shoulder.
Ready to kill ,he whips around and is in the face of a fresh piping hot cup of coffee.
And a donut.And a cigarette.
Just about dropped the rifle he said.
Shots still getting fired, he thanked that S Army profusely for something we all take for granted today. Only peaceful moment he had in the war.
I give to them whenever I can.
The stories I could tell.
