New Headset
Looking at getting a new headset for my gaming (and perhaps a sound card) and i'm looking for some suggestions. Im thinking the Seinheisser (sp?) PC350 or perhaps something similar but cheaper.
Thanks ahead of time.

Really liked? Did you upgrade or change up for any reason?
Im just trying to be careful before I spend the cash on them.
Thanks for the link!

I liked them until the cord (it's long) had a run in with the vacuum. Then I upgraded to the PC-360s because they were on sale for the same price.

I have that headset. The sound is awesome on it. The only thing I don't like is that the long cord likes to tangle.

I use the previous model to these. Great purchase. No cords and allow me to play games at the volume they should be.

It's surprisingly good for a "cheap" headset. Clear sound and othee people can hear me great on the mic. Makes me feel like I'm really out there shooting zombies again.

I was going to get one of these, but the build quality seems kind of plasticy, they creak when you move them. Very comfortable though and sound quite good.
I'm on my second pair of Medusa 5.1 headsets currently.

$250 is almost too rich for my tastes. I'd be so choked if my dog did something stupid like chewed the cord.

I've seen the psyko ones for under $200 from time to time.
The Medusa ones have come down hugely in price after they seemed to have been bought by Speedlink:

But not a lot in the way of reviews out there.
I like a headset that has real surround with separate speakers.

Thanks for all the input. Ive also heard that getting a decent sound card instead of the MoBo on board can really make a difference. I like to buy at a store that will price match (not sure if i can mention names and such on these boards) but ill take that price for the pc350s in and see if they will beat it.
Cheers

No it will not make much of a difference to a separate soundcard versus your onboard setup (usually Realtek chipset) if you are just using a headset.
My headset cost $15 and it does the job fine. Much of the time, I just use the mic and use my existing speaker setup for sound. Everything depends on your budget and personal preference. I would never spend more than $50 on a headset but that's just me.

Not sure if I'm too late to wade in on this with my opinion but I have a pair of these and they are amazing:

comfy, braided nylon cord, sound great, and light.
REad the customer reviews on the Memory Express website for some more input.

These look good, might give them a try, I really can't see myself spending $150+ on a headset.
Anyone have any experience with wireless headset?
