Well the Fan announced this morning that he had been cut. Maybe the let him change it to a 'retirement' so he could save face?

Looks like it's both:

12:34PM - Stampeders make roster move

06:01PM - Veteran Receiver Retires

That's kind of too bad. While he didn't put up huge numbers, I thought he'd still be a valuable member of the team. I guess all the talent the Stamps have now is just better.
