Sens not finished trading

Ottawa-New Sens GM Walsh continued his retooling of the team early Saturday morning. Walsh has sent star forward Martin Havlat, prospect Simon Despres and cash to the Wild for young forwards Blake Comeau, Tomas Fleischmann and a mid round pick.

Again, I needed a move where its quality for quantity. Comeau and Flash for Havlat is probably fairly close but Grant gets a big edge getting Despres. I didn't want to add Despres in but at this point I just need to get the roster in order.

It's great to see some turnover on the Sens roster; that team was extremely stale.

I figured I needed another high end forward for my top 2 lines and while I"m not a Havlat fan - I think he has a good year in SJ. Despres balances off some of the youth I'm giving up. I see him being a bit of a surprise this year - capable of challenging for a spot with Pittsburgh. Easy deal to negotiate.
