Default test internet connection speeds

Is there a site that I can test my internet connection speed. I know one was mentioned here awhile ago, but I cannot find it in my searches. and if you google it gives you sites that are just trying to sell you a product so I don't trust them.

Also

http://speedtest.shaw.ca

or

http://promo.telus.com/speedtest/index.html

I normally do 2 of the 3 and if they match then I don't bother with the 3rd

Last time I called Shaw about connection problems, the lady told me to use Speakeasy instead of their own Shaw speedtest but that was before they implemented their new one which is pretty slick.

Speakeasy has slowed down a lot in my opinion.

This one has the closest test servers: http://www.speedtest.net/

No idea what OOKLA is, but Speakeasy uses a server out of Seattle and Speednet takes one of several that are located in Alberta.

Not sure what I'm talking about beyond that.

Just don't use the one closest to Calgary. It's hosted by Platinum Communications and their server is slow as molasses. So you get significantly slower reported speeds.
