I am just curious on who everyone is picking for the series and how long it will go.

Wheaties in five. They're a very strong team and they're peaking at the right time. I was really hoping for Red Deer to pull through so the Hitmen wouldn't have to face Brandon.

I am hoping for the Hitmen to finish in 6 so I can watch all three road games...oh yeah.
Not to jinx it, but hopefully winning all home games as well??

It will be a tough series for the Hitmen to win...Brandon has lots of fire power. I say Hitmen in 7.

Any reply I give to this thread is going to be incredibly biased, so I'm just going to say that it's going to be one tough hard-fought series, and that both teams have a great shot at winning it.

I've heard lots of predictions from various sports forums and everyone outside of the Calgary area has the Wheat Kings in 4-6 games. Of course it's possible, but from what I've seen, the Hitmen are on top of their game right now. The lengthly time off will no doubt hurt them, as well as the long bus ride, but I see this series going 6 or 7 games. The big crowds in Calgary will definitely play a role.

Make it 3-0 end of first. That is a surprise.
I think Brandon came out trying to shove the Hitmen around and they paid for it.
Hitmen in 6,lol. I know it's cheating but the Dome will make the difference.

Actually, they are still whooping them. 8-1 and there are still 10 minutes left.
Err, make that 9-1.
Six powerplay goals.
I wish I had more than two Hitmen on my fantasy team.

Tell me about it.
Getzlaf and Ladd have 2g 2a combined. The team has combined for 27 points, and the two guys on my fantasy team have a total of 4.
I have no idea how Pushkarev has 4 assists. He often doesnt make 4 passes in a game.

it was a ring a ding dong dandy.
I just hope the don't fall flat after this...... but another win back to back and Brandon will have to go the alcohol store to get the "spirit" back.

Well I predicted Hitmen in six BEFORE this whitewash. Might be giving the Wheaties too much credit.
Finally they played a real hockey team instead of beating up on the minnows of the East all the time. Simply put Brandon wasn't ready. They've been running up the score steadily on Moose Jaw and Regina for a while now and it was actually kind of refreshing to see a team do it to them! (How can I as a Rebels fan call a Hitmen win refreshing? I'm sick!)
Still, it's only one game and the Wheaties know that they are in a real series now. Hitmen looked real good it must be said.
It's weird but I'm actually relaxed and enjoying WHL playoff hockey for once, as I don't have a vested interest for a change. Of course I enjoyed watching the Rebels do well but it was hardly relaxing. This is different......

I'm shocked by the results of game one. I almost went to the game and was going to wear my Hitmen jersey. Might not have made it out of there alive!
The five times I've seen the Wheaties this season they looked like a very strong team (including a 2-1 win over Calgary). Granted, all five were in the latter half of the year when they were on fire.
I'll stick to my prediction, they'll bounce back from this.
