Thumbs up Canada's favourite ballpark contest

Based on written submtions to Baseball Canada, Seaman Stadium (home of the Okotoks Dawgs) has been selected along with 15 other ballparks to compete for the right to be named Canada's favourite ballpark. As a season ticket holder I know where my vote is going

To cast your vote click on the link below.

Quote:
Each week, beginning July 11th, a group of four ballparks will be showcased where fans will be able to vote on Baseball.ca for their favourite ballpark amongst the group of four. The ballpark with the most votes each week will advance to the semi-final round where again they will be matched-up against another park where voting will determine the two finalists. The final round voting will then determine Canada’s Favourite Ballpark!

The winning ballpark will receive recognition from Baseball Canada with a banner recognizing Canada’s Favourite Ballpark amongst other prizes.

Seaman Stadium is a slice of heaven. It is just a perfect atmosphere and setting for some baseball.

Tough one, James Donaldson in Grand Forks is a great Park...I don't know which others have been nominated, but there are some other beauties in BC.

I nominated RCMP Centennial Park in Oyen, a true beauty...at least is is now!

I haven't been to Seaman Stadium yet, but because of recommendations I have read on this site in the past, it is #1 on my list of things to do this summer. It sure looks like a lot of fun.

Not to disparage Seaman Stadium because by all accounts it is a great place but how many nice ballparks are really in Canada?

Could we even name a list of 15 nice Football stadiums? There couldn't be many and not a single current CFL stadium would make the list.

James Donaldson in Grand Forks and Butler Park in Trail are both in the final 16, needless to say there's been a bit of a murmur amongst baseball fans in this neck of the woods about voting.

lol...James Donaldson has absolutely nothing that makes it stand out from other parks. Ah well, that's how online voting goes right?

I miss walking across the old bridge on weekends and hopping the fence to get some extra bp.

So I guess now isn't the time to tell you they're tearing the old bridge down?

Really disappointed to see the pictures they chose of Butler for the contest as they don't show off the character of the park at all. Better angles would have been nice, or maybe a picture from the world series.

Deoxyribonucleic Acid, for example... sounds impressive, right? But have you ever seen what happens if you put something in acid? It dissolves! If we had all this acid in our cells, we'd all dissolve! So much for the Theory of Evolution, Check MATE!
