Atheists enjoy sex more (says study)
Despite knowing the reaction I'll get from some people on this board, I thought this was kind of interesting actually.

(It seems the study mostly looked into Christian and similar denominations, so the headline is somewhat misleading, as not all religions have the same problems with sexuality.)
In any case, there is hope yet (and this was the interesting part, since this wasn't something I'd expect):

I run a study group at UBC with 10 young female grad students.
It is quantifiable. Trust me.

Not sure this is news, most holy texts for monotheistic religions downplay or villify sex or sexual acts. Part of the why women were given a back seat.
The funny thing is it kinda shows how people are going to do what they do anyway, we're all intelligent animals at heart. And really, the religious are just hypocritical in their beliefs, taking themselves down and everyone else. We've seen those cry out against gay rights engaging in gay acts, those saying pre-marital sex is a sin engage in it AND pedophillia, and of course, just Joe and Jane Average, using birth control and giving oral sex when they are not supposed to.
Course, as is currently being debated in three other threads on this board right now, religious belief centers around hypocracy.

I'd like to point out that your thread title says: "Atheists enjoy sex more", whereas your quote says "People who had lost their belief and became atheists reported a significant improvement in sexual satisfaction."
That is too very different things.
If people who are religious enjoy sex to a 3/10 rating, and then lose their faith and enjoy it at a 5/10 rating, then they still won't be enjoying themselves as much as someone who enjoys it 8/10 to begin with...

So you dont "become" atheist. Although many revert back.

Atheists to begin with also enjoyed it more.
The quote he shared wasn't the whole study, just a tidbit that it improves when they stop being religious.
