UBC LipDub - promo video

OK. I know it's Vancouver and all, but this is pretty cool. 1000 (not all, but mostly) students organized into this video. Apparently it only took four different shots to do the whole thing. If you overlook the odd free willy jersey, it's really quite awesome. Way to go UBC.

Not everyone visits that thread or looks through the thousands of posts individually. It took me a solid year before I was prepared enough to enter the dark depths of hell. I've never been the same since.

Impressive video, but I was unable to get through it all (I can't even watch karaoke so things like this are extremely uncomfortable for me). Flash mobs and lip dubs are all fine and great, but they get old very fast in my eyes. The old spice guy for instance. Brilliant marketing, but once everybody started copying the concept it lost something.

Growing up on the west coast and attending quite a few swim meets at that pool brought back some memories.

I currently go to UBC and its a breath of fresh air to see some school pride. Not since first year with the orientation and pep rally have I seen such similar expressions. To be honest, I think UBC has some of the strongest school pride in the country... but with the lack of attention payed toward CIS teams there isn't really many opportunities to express it.
