Just a quick post to announce a trade.

To Devils:

D Gleason Fournier
RW Trevor Lewis

To Panthers:

RW Michael Ryder
a bag of cash for this season

I wanted to get out from under Ryder's contract for next year, which is the main motivation for this deal.

With the ditching of Lalime, Ryder's contract doesn't look all that bad. Gets me a decent albeit overpriced 2nd liner for a 4th liner and a decent prospect D-man, who's about 15th on my depth chart.

Still have over 20 million to add, and that's without adding any cheese later on.


I also signed two players, RW Alain Berger (signed by Mtl), and F Mark Arcobello (signed by Edm), and may add another shortly.
