Default Fernie vs Panorama Right Now? Better Snow?

Anyone been to both lately and care to make a strong case for one over the other? Coming in mid Feb and hoping to find some powder.
Usually I would take Fernie but have been offered a pace in Panorama so hopefully someone here says it is awesome this year...
Thanks

I cant recall panorama being good at all for powder conditions the last few years. Fernie is consistently good. you just have to watch out for spring showers which can kill the snow, but in mid Feb Fernie hands down. You could crash in Panorama and drive out to Fernie and get best of both worlds

I was out at Pano two weeks ago and go there every year. EPIC powder up top from the road closing snow they experienced there at the time. When I left it was raining pretty hard at the base and it might have left the hill in crusty conditions. I imagine that the coverage in Tayton and the Dream bowls is better than most years. I also heard similar conditions in Fernie. We were forced by the road closures to travel through Fernie and the ground was bare from the warmth and rain. Probably the same story, epic on top, crusty ice at the base.

That all said it's been two weeks since then and typically Fernie is always a better bet for snow than Pano. My boss is out there this weekend (And he's a powder junky) and I can pass on his report on Monday.

Panorama should start marketting themselves as the worlds first skating hill.

I was in the Lizard range last weekend, riding the bowls directly behind Fernie. There is about 30 cms on top of the rain crust right now, which is sufficient coverage that you won't hit it. It rained pretty much to the top of White Pass 2 weeks ago, so at lower elevations it got pretty wet.

Keep an eye on this website, it's usually pretty accurate for snowfall and temps.

No idea what Pano is like right now, although it's been my general experience that it sucks. If I had to choose I would never pick it over Fernie.
