Survivor Nicaragua Pool

It's that time of the year again. The 21st season of Survivor is just around the corner, with the first episode airing September 15th. I will set it up in the same format that Superflyer used for the Heroes vs Villains pool.

• First 20 people to sign up get a spot.
• Selection order will be decided by pulling names from a hat
• Each entrant will pick 2 contestants, starting with #1 for round 1 and reversing the order for round 2.
• You cannot pick the same contestant in both rounds
• The tie-break for the winner will be the better finish of their second pick. If it is still tied after this, there will be a mandatory fight to the death.

This season will pit a group of 40 years and older players against a group of 30 years and younger players. The yellow tribe is named LaFlor and their players are 30 and under. The blue tribe are the 40 and older players and their tribe name is Espada

A rematch is in the works between Russell and Boston Rob. – perhaps in Survivor 22 which will also be based in the same location in Nicaragua. Few previous survivors are admitting to being contacted for Survivor 22 so it likely will not be a full fledged season of All-Stars. Russell and Rob may be the only 2 or there may be just a handful of familiar faces sprinkled in with newbies. To support this last possibility is the information that the Dragonslayer tweeted recently that he was headed to Nicaragua on a "secret mission" and original bad boy Richard Hatch enthusiastically assured fans that they would be seeing a lot more of him very soon.

But the real question is, are you in?

Interesting note on Wikipedia:

Introduced the Medallion of Power which can be used to give an advantage in an immunity challenge. Once used, it is then transferred to the opposing tribe.

Validity of this statement aside, it seems like an interesting idea. It would certainly seem to be more advantageous to the older tribe by possibly limiting the younger tribes ability to dominate challenges week after week.

If this Medallion of Power is in fact introduced, I'm curious if they would abolish the hidden immunity idol.

Either way I'm pretty pumped about this season.
