Years ago when Dial-up was still popular 3web came into business offering free dial-up internet with a banner ad that takes up 1/4 of your screen. I used it for 3 months and they started to go downhill and eventually tanked. So based on that experience I'm not sure if I can recommend them to anyone. Save yourself some grief and stick with Shaw. I have Shaw Lite-speed and I'm pretty happy with it, when I need to do a large download I just go to school.

There's quite a few threads on this over at the http://www.redflagdeals.com forums. Some complaints about the customer service, but no company is perfect.

Shaw with I-Extreme is $47.95 per month, $34.95 / month with 3web (with a long distance package). Might be worth checking out.

There was a thread on another forum I visit and the general concenses was it wasn't worth it. Some customer service representatives would say unlimited and others would say no. They are essentially just reselling Shaw's service and as such they have to abide by Shaw's rules. Also, they only offer 1 IP address if that is a concern for you.
