SOmetime I love working in the media. This is one of those times. Looked in my mailbox yesterday and there was a Showtime package sent to me that included all 13 episodes of Season 4 of Californication. I am caught up to Episode 6 right now. It's a bit of a darker season, there's a lot mroe serious stuff going on, but it works. And don't worry, Hank and Runkle get into many messed up situations as usual.
Rob Lowe has a guest spot in a few episodes. Very funny stuff.
Just finished watching the rest of Season 4. I was pretty impressed overall. I liked how watching this season you can tell the writers had a clear view of where they wanted to go. I didn't get that watching Season 3. I thought that season was a mess.
A bit of a darker, more emotional season, but still plenty of hot T and A to go around. Very solid season.

I'm not sure I wanted to read that prior to watching any of it.
Any chance you want to throw that package into the mail at all there VAN?
Pretty sure after watching the end of season 3, you could tell it was going to be more dark, more emotional.
Surprised that the agent wasn't, or Mia weren't in the first episode of S04, but I do remember seeing that guy in the promos for "The Cape" (Bad career choice, IMO). I think I missed Runkle the most. Poor guy just keeps getting crapped on... and comes back for more.
I also had to download the first episode, cause Bell managed to screw up their guide, and my recording caught that Matt LeBlanc show that I have no interest in watching. Hopefully it caught it this week.
I didn't give anything away, and the writing is on the wall in the first episode.
No worries. Like I said, I wasn't sure... I just needed to process it a bit.
Just as long as this isn't a thing similar to Weeds when it went from being a tongue-in-cheek comedy to a dark melodrama almost overnight. That kind of thing you don't want to know about before hand.
