Miyamoto has been celebrating the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. by speaking out about the creation of his iconic game, and even the most trivial reminiscences seem downright revelatory in the vacuum of information about the early days of Nintendo. We've collected Miyamoto's musings from several recent interviews about Super Mario Bros. here to offer a window into what went on behind closed doors at Nintendo EAD in Kyoto in the fall of 1985.
I didnt know if this was "tech talk" or if it transcends that? Feel free to move it.

I think the best part of mario was the wacky ways he killed such a wide array of enemies. And how some of the suits gave him such weird powers (frog suit). A gun would not have fit in at all; too realistic I guess is the best way to say it.

I'm not a video game guy at all, but I do know that Nintendo started out as a playing card company like 90 years ago, so I doubt they are actually talking about the real "early days" of Nintendo.
