Rebuild Underway In Detroit

Thought id be battling for a playoff spot all year but the team cant win a game. I know its not the GM's fault so the players must go. First of several trades to come was completed today.

Stralman is about as useless as a player can be in the sim right now. Has a mind blowing 55 defensive rating. However is having a good season in Columbus and leads all players in ice time. Signed to a real good contract as well.

JVR, don't really need to say much about him. Think everyone knows who he is and what kind of potential he has.

I'm sure G in Minny is licking his lips at the thought of having my 1st rounder but id make the same deal today as I did in the off season with him. I have tons of cheese room and will be looking to make similar moves with my vets.

The Kings needed to add defensive ability and some leadership to the D core and are excited to send out the new lineup. Chiasson looks like a huge kid who is having a great year and hopefully he'll be in the NHL in the next few years.

Didn't want to give up JVR but Detroit was willing to part with a solid player and upgrades are extremely hard to find these days so it was a must for the Kings.

I really like this deal for the Wings. JVR is going to be a real nice top 6 player for Detroit in the future.
