Default Predators and Flyers make another deal

I guess my new strategy for trading is to let the Flyers and Jackets bring in new players and then we can make trades! I guess I always see these two online and end up making deals with them as a result. Tonight was a little idle chatter and then this deal came out:

To Nashville

David Legwand

To Philly

David Jones
Trent Hunter

Legwand represents a big upgrade for us this season. He is a legit top 6 player and will see a fair amount of ice-time here. Hopefully he can find some chemistry with some of the others.

I really didn't want to add Jones in here. To me he is a guy who flies under the radar who is having a good start to the season. Overall though, I see other teams in the West upgrading and starting to move and I want to keep pace...so I need to take a few risks and try to keep pace.

Thanks Joe for the quick deal.

It is really awesome to see some teams who focused on a rebuild last year become more competitive this season.

Not only that, this deal should decrease the value of the Nashville 1st that Columbus owns.

So you're saying there's a chance?

I was doing my lines and had to put Neal on the 4th line and I asked myself why? So Vic asked me who was available and I said Legwand and the deal was agreed upon. Nothing fancy, Legwand and Hunter both UFAs and Jones a decent 3rd liner, he offsets the OV drop.
