I wonder if you'll ever see crooks with these one day? Either way, I'm going to FEAR it now!

This is why I was not impressed that my Visa has the RFID. That technology is so insecure.

I like how the guy who owns a company that sells card holders that can prevent this, is doing the demo.

Fear the future, that's my motto. Imagine if you were strapped to a chair in a dark room and forced to watch 24/7 news networks. You'd probably slit your wrists the moment you're freed, because you'd automatically believe everything is doomed.

Another trade-off between convenience and security. Although, I think this is more fear based than an actual serious problem.

They showed this on NCIS a few episodes back IIRC correctly... time to switch back to non-wireless cards

Are all the new chip cards RFID or is it only special cards? I know it is an american report and it says to look for the (((( symbol but I don't know if that is specific to the States or if it is the same up here.

Anyone with any sort of techincal knowledge required to pull this off, probably saw it as an option the instant the RFID cards came into general use

wow, i guess it was just a matter of time before a new scam is being done. its funny how news like this would make the public aware of it, but at the same time put the idea into the scammers looking at ways to rip people off.

I laughed at my new credit card when it now had a super secure chip that I needed to input my pin with to use the card and also another chip where I wave it in front of machines and they take my money
