Google maps says like 10km

http://maps.google.com/

Just put in a starting address and and ending address and it'll give you a full map with directions.

It is directly south of Mckenzie Towne.

Having lived in Somerset until last month I can tell you that the south can be a hike if you work downtown but it is not nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be. All the "just north of the U.S. border" business and such is usually perpetuated by people who think the city revolves around more northerly areas.

All amenities (with the exception of schools) are close by. The C train is minutes away and is the best way to get downtown. If you drive then taking the deerfoot is much quicker than Macleod trail.

That being said, I'm happy we moved north to Canyon Meadows last month.
